Holy Stabby.You know what’s sad to me? I don’t consciously think about sexism while going about my daily life, but when I see a video like this I’m infuriated. This video captures those subtle digs and slimy suggestions and plays them back-to-back. The nasty comments about Hilary’s face, cleavage, husband’s hand, etc. is so weak and pathetic. I’m a Barack Obama supporter, but I think all the sexisim in politics, media, the workforce, etc. etc. is seriously f-d up!!!
This is almost too sad and depressing to watch - the combination of thoughtless and backwards commentary and insufferable attempts at humor from people who call themselves “professional” journalists is a good reminder that we don’t live in a “post” anyting world; that misogyny is still around and unabashedly so, and that horrible bullshit like this will sadly still find an audience, whether it be in rap lyrics or on cable news.
