Today was the library’s first day open since the storm (well, half open - one of our buildings still has no power), and it was awesome to see the place packed with people, coming in to get their internet fix, or to charge their stuff. We had impromptu charging stations (i.e., power strips) set up everywhere - I don’t think there was a single outlet not in use. And lots of people showed up who had never been to the library before, and signed up for cards!
