The Bronze Medal

We had about three thousand kids register online for fall library programs this morning, and at one point it seemed like our server was going to give out under the load. As the person that people complain to when the system doesn’t work, this definitely concerned me.

Me: If the whole system crashes, I’m going to just hide out behind those three little pig houses you guys have set up over there.
Children’s librarian: Just make sure it’s the brick one, so the wolf can’t get you.
Me: Yeah, obviously.
